Call to Action Buttons

What Are Call to Action Buttons?

A call to action (CTA) button gives your visitors a clear next step. It's a clickable button inside your notification that links to any page you choose. Think of it as the "so what?" of your notification: you've told visitors something, now the button tells them what to do about it.

Setting Up a CTA Button

To add a button to your notification:

  1. Enter your Button Text (e.g., "Learn More", "Shop Now", "Sign Up")
  2. Set the Button URL where visitors will go when they click
  3. Choose your Button Color to make it stand out
  4. Pick a Button Text Color for readability

Best Practices for Button Text

Good Button Text Why It Works
"Get Started" Clear action, feels easy
"Shop the Sale" Specific, creates urgency
"Download Free Guide" Shows value, mentions free
"Book a Demo" Direct, professional
"See Pricing" Answers a common question

Avoid vague text like "Click Here" or "Submit". Be specific about what happens when they click.

Making Buttons Stand Out

  • Use a button color that contrasts with your notification background
  • Keep button text short (2 to 4 words is ideal)
  • Make sure the button text color is readable against the button color
  • The button appears at the bottom of your notification content, naturally drawing the eye

Click Tracking

Every CTA button click is automatically tracked in your analytics. You can see:

  • Total clicks per notification
  • Click through rate (clicks divided by views)
  • Which notifications drive the most engagement

Use this data to understand what messaging and offers resonate most with your visitors.

The CTA button is completely optional. If you don't add one, your notification will still work perfectly. It will just be informational without a specific action step.
